Project
Law Courts Administration, Whitehorse, Yukon
Yukon Justice
The new Law Centre consists of law courts and office components linked by an atrium. We analyzed the shortcomings of the court administration area, and proposed possible operational and design solutions. Our initial report outlined the perceived problems; assessed existing floor area utilization; defined area and proximity requirements; presented a proposed design concept; and compared earlier plans with the existing situation and the proposed solution. Subsequently, we developed alternative plans based on reduced funding. Design options were developed, and computer–aided final floor plans were produced. Completed in 1988.
