Mandate Review, Provincial Capital Commission, Victoria, BC
Provincial Capital Commission - BC Aboriginal Affairs
We reviewed the operations and mandate of the Provincial Capital Commission and assisted in determining an appropriate future role for the organization. The project involved extensive consultation with other government agencies, aboriginal communities, community groups and the Commission itself. Views from the general public were solicited through newspaper advertisements and open houses. A comparative analysis was conducted of similar agencies and activities in other provincial capitals. The report included recommendations on the future role, the type of organization and resources required, and an action plan for the transition. Completed in 1992.
