Cowichan and Chemainus Secondary Schools, Duncan and Chemainus, BC
School District 65 (Cowichan)
Secondary students in School District 65 were accommodated in two locations: the Cowichan Secondary School in Duncan, which offers programs for Grades 10–12, and Chemainus Secondary School in Chemainus, which offers programs for Grades 8–12. The schools required significant upgrading or replacement. We prepared facility studies to define the most appropriate strategy for accommodating students at the two schools taking into consideration the future role of the schools within the District, the technical capacity of the existing facilities to fulfill this role, and the potential of the facilities for modification to meet the needs of its students. Completed in 1994.
