Environmental Services Headquarters, Capital Regional District, Victoria, BC
Capital Regional District
Initially, we updated estimated space requirements for the Health and Engineering Departments of the Capital Regional District (CRD). Three options for moving into leased space were examined: Health only; Engineering only; and Health and Engineering together. Next, we prepared a Facilities Program for Engineering to relocate into a new CRD Satellite Headquarters. The Satellite Headquarters was a new facility that retained the façade of an existing heritage building. The building was also the subject of a design competition involving a joint development with the City of Victoria. Finally, we updated the program for Environmental Services (formerly Engineering) as a stand–alone building. This project is under construction. Completed in 2001.
